Setting Up Goals

To setup a new goal, navigate to the Goal List page under the Analytics navigation link. From here, click the blue ‘New Goal’ button located in the top right hand corner of the page. This will open a new dialog box with the required settings for a new goal.

Name

This is the name of the goal.

Assigned To

A team goal will displayed for all users to see and will be shown to Admin level users on the homepage. Individual goals will be shown to Users by default on the homepage, but cannot be seen by other non-Admin Users.

Group

Use this field to set the criteria for the goal. Every night the number of students in this group will be recorded as the progress of the goal. If the goal is to reach 2000 accepted students, set the goal to be accepted students. It will then record the amount of accepted students and compare it to the target to determine the progress of the goal.

Target

This is the target for the group to reach for the goal to be 100% complete.

Timeframe

Goal progress is tracked once a day (at midnight) between the dates specified here.

Once all of the options for the goal are set, click save to create the goal. Once saved, the goal will update to mark the initial progress of the goal. Once the initial progress is saved, the goal will only update once a day in the future.
